Jane Zieman will introduce you and your dog to the requirements for the Therapy Dog Certification test including manners and serenity around others. The dogs should be able to walk on leash fairly well, be under control in a room with other dogs. and the team should be working on manners as they greet people. Enrollment will close at midnight on September 11 Jane Zieman, a CGC evaluator, has been a Therapy Dog handler for 6 years. She has successsfully shown dogs in Obedience and Rally competitions for over 10 years. Dogs must be a minimum of one year old to be tested. The following are some of the policies that apply for dog/handler teams interested in taking the Certification Test: -The dog must be healthy. -The minimum age is 12 for handlers who pass the Test without help.
